Intermountain Acquires Home Health Agency

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has finalized its acquisition of home health agency Advent Home Health.

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has finalized its acquisition of home health agency Advent Home Health.

Under the acquisition, Advent Home Health will now operate under the name Intermountain Health Homecare, according to an Aug. 31 news release Intermountain shared with Becker’s.

Advent, a Joint Commission accredited home health company based in Las Vegas, provides nursing care, therapy and rehab, medical social work, and home health aid.

The company has locations in seven states and additional operations across the western U.S.

M&A Healthcare Advisors Featured in Becker’s Coverage of LHC’s Acquisition of Summit Home Health

M&A Healthcare Advisor’s latest transaction was featured in Becker’s Healthcare publication. In the article, they detail UnitedHealth Group’s recently acquired LHC Group buying the Delaware-based home health company Summit Home Care. M&A Healthcare Advisors was retained as the exclusive advisor.

Summit Home Care operates multiple locations throughout Delaware, according to an April 19 news release from M&A Healthcare Advisors, a firm representing Summit in the transaction. The acquisition price was not disclosed in the release.

UnitedHealth Group’s $5.4 billion acquisition of Lafayette, La.-based home health firm LHC Group closed in February. LHC employs about 30,000 people, including front-line care providers and administrative and support personnel. Many of LHC’s home-health and hospice operations are owned in partnership with hospital systems across 37 states and more than 960 locations.
